There’s something magical about a winter wedding in Minnesota, and this one at Young Life Castaway Club in Detroit Lakes was nothing short of breathtaking! Fresh snow, a peaceful lakeside setting, and the warmth of family and friends made this day one to remember.
If you’ve been around for a while, you probably recognize Annie! Not only have I been capturing her family’s photos for years, but she’s worked with us off and on throughout the years and helped with lots of weddings and portrait sessions! Witnessing her walk down the aisle as a bride and documenting this day was an absolute honor (and made me feel old at the same time!). To make the day even more special, our three kiddos were also in the wedding! Seeing them all dressed up, celebrating with Annie & Bradly is a memory we’ll cherish forever. 🙂
One of the most beautiful aspects of the day was the emphasis on faith, family, and love. The ceremony, led by Annie’s dad, was heartfelt and Christ-centered. The love and support surrounding the couple were evident in every embrace, every joyful tear, and every reception toast. Instead of a traditional dance reception, the couple opted for a more low-key night with group games/social time and ending with a sparkler exit!
