What is a lifestyle newborn session?
A lifestyle newborn session focuses on capturing the real, raw, and organic moments within the first weeks of bringing home your baby.
My goal as a photographer is to capture these moments in a beautiful way! During our time together, I will have you snuggle up and hold your newborn close alongside your significant other (and siblings or pets!).

THE NEWBORN EXPERIENCE

I take a limited amount of newborn sessions each month, so if you're ready to book click "CONTACT TO BOOK" above to see if I have availability in the month your baby is due!
Choose a location.
Most newborn sessions take place in my clients' homes, but your entire house doesn’t need to look like it’s ready for Pinterest! I do recommend cleaning up the nursery and any places you think we might shoot. This might include your bed, the couch, or another spot in your home with beautiful natural light. But truly, that's all you need to prep! I know you're in the throes of newborn life and we won't judge the pile of dishes in the sink or all the baby things that have suddenly taken over the house. We've been there, and we get it!
If you don't feel comfortable taking photos in your home, we have a new studio on our property that we can use for your newborn session!
Prep for your session.
Moms: feel free to do your own hair and makeup or have it done professionally! Stay natural and clean with your hair and makeup choices. A little mascara, blush, and lipgloss will go a long way in photos!
Dads: clean, trim, and file your nails. Your hands will be in many of the photos, so it's important they look their best!
The session day.
Feed and change your little one’s diaper right before I arrive. This helps ensure that they are ready to go as soon as we get there. However, due to the tiny size of their tummies, it’s also likely that they’ll need another feed (and maybe a diaper change) during the shoot.
Please don’t worry about pausing the session to feed your little one. This is normal, and I plan extra time for newborn sessions specifically for these reasons!
Your photos are delivered via an online gallery. This gallery is super easy to use! You'll get two links, one is for desktop use and one can be used to save an app on your phone with your images. With your gallery, you can download, share, and print images! Your gallery is online for 5 years.
The sooner the better! I take a limited amount of newborn sessions + first year packages each year. We all know babies tend to come on their own schedule, so scheduling your newborn session can be a bit tricky. I'll make sure to mark your due date on my calendar and always keep you in the back of my mind as I schedule my weeks around your due date. After you deliver, we'll get you on the calendar within 1-2 weeks.
Yes! Most newborn sessions take place in my clients' homes, but if you don't feel comfortable taking photos in your home, we have a new studio on our property that has truly been a dream come true!
Absolutely! I love when I get to meet your pet and will make sure to include them in some photos. I recommend having an extra person or a kennel for your pet for the portion of the session we won't need your pet.
Yes, of course! Family photos are included as part of my newborn sessions and can also be added to milestone sessions if you'd like.
