October 12, 2018
We’re 20 weeks pregnant and having a BABY BOY! ♥︎ Caleb and I could not be more excited to welcome this little man into our family in February 2019. Yesterday (October 11th, 2018) we had our 20 week ultrasound/doctor appointment and everything went so well. We are so grateful to have a healthy and active little boy growing inside of me.
-I’m still dealing with morning sickness (boo) but it has been a *little* bit better. I was throwing up every day (sometimes multiple times a day) and now I’m only throwing up a few times a week. It’s been a nice change! Other than the morning sickness, I feel pretty good! The baby bump has officially started to pop and we are finally starting to feel the baby move!
-We currently have 6 weddings left to photograph before baby comes! Crazy! Two more in October, two in November, one in December, and one in January. Wedding days hav been going well. The adrenaline helps with the morning sickness and I’ve learned to deal with the waves of nausea throughout the day. Eating small snacks/meals all day long is a must while we work!
-Speaking of eating… When I get hungry, I’m HUNGRY! The last two weeks I’ve had a growing appetite which is a change from first trimester (and part of second trimester). Thankfully, Caleb loves making random trips to the store to get whatever I’m craving – thanks babe! 😉
The Sneak Peek Test:
We’ve had a number of people ask us about the gender blood test we took at 14 weeks pregnant – we can finally share the test was correct! For those who haven’t heard of the Sneak Peek test, it’s a company that tests your blood for DNA to see if you’re having a boy or girl. I ordered the test at 13 weeks, filled up a little tube with blood that was pricked from my finger (thanks Kiara for coming over to help with this! Ha!), and sent it back. My friend and fellow photographer, Amber received an email with the results and kept it a secret until our official gender reveal day! We gathered both of our families together to see the results (see photo below). It was a great evening! My dad’s (the one holding the powder canon on the left) canon didn’t go off which everyone had a good laugh about! I could have photoshopped some blue powder to make it look like it did, but it’s a funny memory!
