I can’t believe that today is the day we get to share Christina and Jake’s wedding photo blog post!! There is nothing more special than to capture one your best friends’ wedding day! Caleb and I have quite the stories and memories with Christina and Jake! We all started dating around the same time a few years back. I remember being at a super bowl party and Christina and I ran off to the “bathroom” to talk about the fact we both on a date with the guy we liked (and it was going well!!)! Haha! We celebrated a very memorable birthday together at Speak Easy. We have spent many nights playing Catan and talking about life. And now we both have been by each other’s sides on our wedding days! Crazy!! Caleb and I are SO incredibly happy for the two of them and cannot wait to see what the future holds!
Christina and Jake’s wedding day took place at Milt’s Barn near Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. It was a gorgeous, warm day with a little breeze to keep everyone cool! Christina prepared for the wedding day with her ladies at b. salon before heading out to the barn to put their dresses on. Jake and his groomsmen got ready in the most rustic and unique saloon! Both Jake and Christina read notes they had wrote to each other on the morning of the wedding and let me tell you, we were all in tears. My goodness, they have such a sweet love for one another! Before we knew it, it was time for the first look by the corn fields. Jake is a farmer, so this was fitting for the two of them! Once they had a few moments to themselves we started one of my favorite times of the day bride and groom portraits!! Once we wrapped up a wonderful time with Jake and Christina, we joined the bridal party and family for photos! You may notice a familiar face in the bridal party and that is because Caleb was a groomsmen! He left his video equipment to us and jumped in to celebrate with everybody!
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful under the huge tree in front of the barn! There were so many giggles and tears throughout the vows Jake and Christina wrote to each other. It was so sweet!! They shared their first kiss as a husband and wife and then it was time to celebrate! The reception took place inside Milt’s Barn. Family and friends ate delicious food, listened to wonderful speeches, and danced the night away! It was amazing!
Congratulations, Christina and Jake!!! We love you and are SO happy for you two! Can’t wait to see you when you are back from your honeymoon <3
