I’m thrilled to be starting our first blog series today – Wedding Wednesday! Caleb and I were married 6 months ago last week and I finally feel like life is settling down after the crazy process of planning and preparing for our wedding… From being engaged, wedding planning and getting married in 7 months! Being a recent bride and a wedding photographer/videographer, it has been on my heart to share advice about the wedding industry and ideas on how to make the wedding planning process less of a stress!
Today I’m sharing about parent gifts! I remember laying in bed being on Etsy soon after we were engaged searching for wedding inspiration and decorations as we had just picked the theme of our wedding day. My wedding playlist was playing in the background when I stumbled across these sweet embroidered handkerchiefs made for the father of the bride. I started to tear up as memories flooded back from when I was a little girl and I was just so incredibly thankful for my amazing daddy and for everything that he has done for me. I searched for a note that I loved for both my dad and mom and added them both to my cart!
The biggest tip that I have when picking a gift for your parents is to give them something that has meaning behind it. Before I found the handkerchiefs, I remember feeling like I would never find a good and meaningful gift that would say “thank you” to my parents for everything they have done for me and for giving me the most amazing wedding day ever! The handkerchiefs were absolutely perfect and such a special part of the day that my parents and I could share.
Mom and Dad – Thank you again for the most amazing and perfect wedding day! It was a day that I will never forget. I am so incredibly thankful for all 21 years and 123 days that I got to be under your care, love, and support. You two are extraordinary and I hope Caleb and I can be half of the parents you were to me one day!
