36 WEEKS!! We cannot believe how fast this pregnancy has gone. We’re one week away from “full term” and four weeks away from our due date! I haven’t posted a blog update since 29 weeks, so here’s how the last 7 weeks have been:
-Morning sickness: Still hanging around! 😭 I’ve pretty much accepted there is a good chance it isn’t going away until after baby comes – and as exhausting as it has been throwing up and feeling nauseous, I’m so thankful to be pregnant and growing a healthy little boy! I’ve tried plenty of home remedies and prescriptions for it, but nothing seems to work. Usually by mid-morning/lunch time I feel decent. So it’s not *too* bad!
-Baby is growing on track! We had an extra ultrasound to check up on him last week because I’m considered to have “low weight gain” (thanks morning sickness) for where I’m at in pregnancy. However we talked with our doctor after the ultrasound and everything looks perfect! He weighed almost 6 pounds based on the measurements!
-My dear friend, Jessica came and stayed with us for a few days mid-January. We’ve been friends for around 5 years even though we live 700 miles apart! While she was here we prepped freezer meals, washed a lot of clothes (including the baby’s clothes!), and took maternity photos!
-We’re officially done with weddings before baby arrives! Our last two weddings went great even with bitter winter temps! I will say, weddings at 7-8 months pregnant are quite a bit more exhausting than I expected! π But with a day of rest following the wedding, I felt great!
-Caleb and I feel like we finally have a solid night and morning routine down and we laugh almost ever night knowing it will all be changing here soon! We’ve never been good about having a consistent bed time or wake up time… and now we are sleeping by 10:30 and up by 7:30 (He’s up around 5:30/6, I sleep in until 7:30!). I’m not sleeping well these days – but I think it’s God’s way of preparing me to be up with the baby at night! I’m grateful we work from home so when I do have rough nights now (and when I will with the baby), I’ll be able to rest during the day.
-We both feel excited for our baby boy to get here – maybe it will be within the next week or maybe we’ll go a few weeks past our due date?! Who knows! π
Below are a few photos from our maternity session – thanks http://jessica-lauren.com!
